We call it the flute bird. It sounds like when they play a pingullu (flute). That's how it sings, "pingulí!." pingullu (flauta). The agoutis? (Yes), the agoutis. My father used to say that if you go out to the swamp at the time the bird sings you can kill an agouti. Then if the agoutis are there, and the agoutis jump up, then it sings because that bird sings (on purpose) for the agoutis to dance. They sing at afternoon, 5 o’clock. And also they sing early in the morning. If the agouti is close by it will make him happy, my Dad used to say because it's the agouti's music.
