There was a woman who lived alone with her daughter.
Since they lived like that, "Mom, I’m going to gather snails."
So she took the basket and went out.
Then she gathered small snails and other things, river shrimp, and brought them and served them (to her mother).
After doing that, they say she also came back with a basket full of morete (fruit).
(She) disappeared for a whole day. Her mother searched for her everywhere.
Then, suddenly, she came back carrying something.
“Mom, I met a very fat man in the forest,” she said.
He was the one who gathered all that morete for me.
“He will come soon. You will meet him soon.”
“Then let him in,” said her mother.
So the woman called him and said, "Come in!"
Because, in the beginning, they say this tapir was human.
And then he arrived. What big arms he had!
Her mother looked at her slowly and warned her: —Daughter, if you have relations with him, that big penis might hurt you, her mother said.
“Will he hurt me? If he wants to have sex, I’ll hit him with a stick.”
Then Mom said: "Now he will eat these morete fruits."
