Paradrymonia 2 sp

Family:

Gesneriaceae

Prochilodus nigricans_edited.jpg

The striking white roots of Paradrymonia resemble the fangs of pit vipers. For that reason they are used as an antivenom. Species with larger fang roots are used to cure the bites of larger snake species while the roots of smaller species are used to counter smaller species of snakes.
