My uncle's son went to the barracks and they took him. They knew how to send the jungle to the detachment. Like they wanted to eat meat and see what they had gone to the mountain. El hijo de mi tio fue al cuartel y lo cogieron. A ellos les sabian mandar a la selva, al destacamento. Como ellos querían comer carne y viendo que había fueron a la montaña. Los monos aullaban mucho y por eso el hijo de mi tio dijo: Vamos a matar, yo se cazar muy bien decía a un familiar. Se fueron a la montaña y llegaron a una parte donde el viento había tumbado [árboles]. Había muchos árboles de ungurawa, el viento habia hecho caer arboles grandes. En la montaña donde los árboles cayeron, aullaban muchos monos. tindindirin tindindirin...Escuchó aullar a muchos monos, era bastantes. Escuchando eso ellos fueron y hasta la tierra temblaba por los aullidos. Y cuando dijo eso la tierra temblaba, temblaba cuando fue allá. Ellos fueron viendo con cuidado sin moverse mucho, a lo que llegaron aullaban arriba y abajo del suelo. No era tan oscuro un poco de dia era, vieron un hombre alto. Aquel hombre alto estaba parado asi a lo que aullaban los mono, era el dueño de los monos. Sin ver abajo él fue así mientras cantaban de nuevo. En ese espacio el caminaba cantando así, el no se daba cuenta. Para nada veía hacia abajo, solo veía hacia arriba mientras cantaba con la mano así y tenía una gorra. Estaba puesto una gorra negra así de redonda y grande, era un hombre alto. Estaba puesto una camisa negra linda, igualmente él cantaba. Cuando él cantaba temblaba y mi amigo viendo eso decía no es ningún mono. "Mira aquella persona que camina es, mira es el dueño espíritu de lo monos". Si él se da cuenta de nuestra presencia nos va ha matar, así se decían. Atrás de donde el viento tumbo los árboles había árboles de shiwa y como era un día soleado estaban secos. Ellos prendienron fuego a las hojas secas de la palma de shiwa. El árbol de shiwa se prendió bastante, prendieron fuego y fueron corriendo. Corrieron hasta la otra montaña, pasaron otra montaña más y escucharon al dueño de los monos. Aún cuando había mucho fuego él no se daba cuenta, aún que acá se estaba incendiando. Como cantaba. Viendo hacia arriba. Cantaba él y de igual manera los monos arriba cantaban muy fuerte. Los monos verdaderos también cantaban, aún se escuchaba desde la otra montaña. Y ahi cantaron más duro y ellos [los militares] decían ahora sí se dió cuenta el dueño de los monos. Corrieron, corrieron hacia la casa y llegaron pronto. Amaneció y dejaron de cantar, no hemos cogido ningún mono decían. Encontramos al dueño de los monos, al dueño espiritu de los monos encontramos. Ahi me conversó y decía que era un hombre alto vestido de ropa negra. Tenía una gorra redonda y grande cuando cantaba viendo hacia arriba. Cuidaba de sus hijos. Cuando él cantaba viendo hacia arriba ahí se acercaban sus hijos, viendo eso cantaba. Él que fue y vió eso se acostó a dormir, y cuando él durmió... Por qué no me di cuenta antes, sino les hubiera comido a ustedes dos? Solo porque no me di cuenta ustedes estan vivos sino ya estuvieran muertos. No hubieran vivido dijo él, desde ahí. Por eso cuando cantaban los monos en las montañas no se querer ir decía él, porque vio eso en el sueño. Porque así vi a una hombre alto, humano ha sido él, así me contaba. De igual manera tenía una gorra redonda y grande, era negro. Ropa negra estaba puesto el dueño de los monos.
